vaccine3 Vaccination

Annual vaccination is the best way to protect your dog, cat, or rabbit from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. Want to prevent suffering for your pet and avoid unexpected high vet bills? Make sure to have your dog, cat, or rabbit vaccinated every year.

At Petsfit, your pet will always receive a full health check during the vaccination consultation. For owners with multiple pets, we charge only one vaccination consultation per visit, regardless of the number of pets you bring. This helps us keep our prices low.

With a blood test (‘titer testing’), we can determine whether a follow-up vaccination can be postponed for certain diseases in dogs. Interested in this innovative technique? Contact us to book an appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: If you want to have multiple pets vaccinated, please book an appointment for each pet. If you need to vaccinate a litter, select the ‘litter vaccination’ option.

Sterilization

Is your dog's heat cycle or your cat’s estrus period a stressful time for both of you? Do you want to prevent unwanted pregnancies? Would you like to reduce the risk of health problems later in life? Then sterilization could be a smart choice for your pet!

Sterilization offers benefits for both pets and their owners. At Petsfit, we have extensive experience in sterilizing dogs, cats, and rabbits.

Sterilization for female cats and rabbits is possible from 6 months of age.
For female dogs, it is advisable to wait until after their first heat cycle. Sterilization during the first three months after a heat cycle or during a false pregnancy is not recommended. For young female dogs, the first suitable moment for sterilization is three months after the end of their first heat cycle.

In many cases, laparoscopic sterilization is a great alternative to traditional surgery for dogs.

The most modern and safest technique: laparoscopic sterilization

Instead of making one large incision, the veterinarian makes three small openings in the abdominal wall. Using a camera, the procedure is performed quickly with minimal tissue damage.

Benefits for your dog:

  • Less pain after surgery
  • Faster recovery
  • Lower risk of complications

At Petsfit, we offer laparoscopic sterilization for a small additional fee. Would you like to give your dog the benefits of this advanced technique? Contact us today for more information or to schedule an appointment!

Castration

Does your male cat spray or wander off at night, only to return injured? Has your rabbit reached puberty and become aggressive toward you or its cage mates?

In many cases, castration is the solution. Castration for cats and rabbits has few downsides. For male dogs, castration can sometimes help resolve behavioral issues. Additionally, it can be a good solution for recurring preputial infections. In some cases, chemical castration may be a suitable alternative. If you have questions about the benefits of surgical castration for your dog, contact Petsfit for advice!

Male dogs can be neutered from 12 months of age. While castration can help with certain behavioral issues, its effects are often limited. Contact us for guidance.
Male cats and rabbits can be neutered from 6 months of age.

Chemical Castration for Dogs

Chemical castration involves placing an implant that temporarily suppresses testosterone production. There are short-term (6 months) and long-term implants available. During the implant’s active period, the effects are similar to those of surgical castration.

Are you considering castration but want to better understand its effects first? Do you want to prevent unwanted mating without surgery? Then chemical castration is likely the best solution.

No appointment is needed for an implant. You are welcome during our walk-in consultation hours. Check our price list for the cost of chemical castration.

Dental

Does your dog or cat have bad breath? Do you notice a lot of tartar on their teeth and molars, or are any teeth loose?

Dental problems can be painful, even if your pet doesn’t show it right away. Over time, these issues can worsen. Early treatment can prevent serious complications.

Schedule a dental check-up during our consultation hours and benefit from our extensive experience and modern equipment.
